My Birthday!

On April 15th I turned 29. I have officially decided that this is my last birthday. I am not going to leave the 20's!

We didn't do anything exciting. Brian wanted to go out, and even arranged a babysitter, but I just wanted to hang out at home and celebrate with the fam. I didn't even want a cake! I hate cake! So we celebrated with some TGI Friday's green bean fries (you can buy them in bulk at Sam's Club - I love Sam's Club and green bean fries.

Brylee gets so excited when it is some one's birthday, because it means that it will be her birthday soon. She can hardly wait for it to be her birthday. She has been begging for a Nintendo DS, which she won't be getting, because she will only be 4!!! Anyway, she was so cute about wanting to get me a present for my birthday. She spent half the day finding things around the house to wrap up for me. Then she told me I had to wait until Ady and Alysa got home from school before I could open it. She made me open it, as soon as the girls walked in the door. In the bag were a few random toys, and pencils, and then on the very bottom two Nintendo DS's. They were Ady and Alysa's. She was so proud of herself for getting me TWO Nintendo Ds's for my birthday. It was really cute!

In other news, work has been really slow for Brian. He has been spending ALOT of time at home. But things are starting to look up. He got a contract at two property management companies to do the plumbing repairs and 550 houses. Not enough to pay the bills, but it is better than nothing! They have also talked to him about repairing foreclosed houses in the area, which would be great!!! And he is bidding on the finish plumbing at the new prison here in Clark county, which should be starting in June. It shouldn't be long before things start to pick up again! Until then, we will be pinching pennies!
